Once you have your process in place, your autoresponder sequence established, and that these are all running smoothly, you plan to build various landing pages (splash pages/lead capture pages). As you can imagine, while you only really need one, promoting your website with numerous pages only increases your probability of capturing leads. The next little list building secret, although not really a secret, is to drive traffic to your landing page(s). This will take a certain while as there are several methods to drive traffic, but you can fine-tune and test to see which ones do best for you.
This is where the dedication comes in. Building a solid list and driving traffic is what separates the winners from the losers.
Google AdWords - A great way to get your advert in front of individuals who are searching on Google looking for information concerning a special niche, like yours.
Article submissions - create articles applicable to your niche. Submit them to article directories and provide a link to your page.
Free classified ads - such as Craig List, BackPage. Advertise your venture without charge and get through to thousands of individuals. A different option at this point is to search the "wanted" section. Go and see what individuals are looking for and proffer a helping hand. Just a quick suggestion here - repetitive listing on free sites will get your ads deleted. Be creative and modify your ads. Don't list them all at one time; add one or two a day. This decreases the risk of them being deleted.
Blogs - use blogger.com to create blogs at no cost. Bond and communicate with those interested in your niche. Provide a link to your page. Remember, a blog should not be used as a sales page. You link up, you communicate and then introduce your niche when appropriate.
Social bookmarking - FaceBook, MySpace and many others. Link up and talk to people across the world. Develop relationships and promote your products or services. There are more social bookmarking sites than you can at first imagine. You can join one or several. Remember though that you have to actively participate in them so it does take up a certain amount of time. It's better to focus on one or two than to have several that you don't frequent often.
These are simply a small number of ways that you can drive traffic and build lists. All of these are without any cost with the exception of Google AdWords, although it is certainly worth the cost to make use of this powerful marketing tool. You might like to start with one and slowly include the others. Whatever type of method you decide to use, understand that it will take time and that results won't come about instantly.
