I was looking for popular posts widget here and there all over the internet, yet i still can't find a suitable one. Amanda, from Blogger Buster, do offer a solution for this widget but the major issue of the solution is the popularity is based on the number of comments made (most comment widget). Came across PostRank today, it is a scoring system and it measures the engagement of your posts. Examples of engagement include writing a blog post in response to someone else, bookmarking an article, leaving a comment on a blog, or clicking a link to read a news item. You can only browse the site by Firefox/Chrome
How to: Create popular posts widget with PostRank Feed?
1. Go to to analyze your feed address OR type this in your browser's address bar
2. If your feed is not listed, signup an account! Repeat step 1 after signing up the account.
3. Go to Import Select Import feeds using "Direct Input". Enter your feed URL and Tags.
4. Under "My FeedsManage Click on your blog title; it will redirect you to Feed Details"
5. Under "Feed Details Select All Posts All your posts will be displayed. The larger the rating, the popular it is.
6. Click on the Filtered RSS Feed button, you will see a feed url. Copy the feed url to a notepad. if you were to add the best posts,best. There are 3 levels - good, great, best. Make sure you have best posts before you add the extra.
7. Login to blogger, go to layout page element add gadget add a Feed widget
8. Copy and paste the feed url into the widget, then continue to customize the widget.
