Affiliated Marketing is about making money on line by recommending all sorts of different products of others. So, as an Affiliated Marketer, you may think, you are not really responsible for the quality of the recommended goods. Or are you?
Picturing the scenario in a more traditional way, you are a wholesaler/retailer or a middle man between the manufacturer and a consumer. Maybe you do not provide a guarantee for the stock you are selling, but if your customers are not satisfied with the products they either keep asking for their money back or will never return to you or, what happens in most cases, both! Any successful long term business relies on retaining its current customers and gaining new ones by word of mouth recommendations.
Whatever the business, if there are no customers you have NO business!
It is the same story with an online business; at the end of a month when you view your account on Google AdSense or paypal integration, you want to see a positive payout figure, not an amount of refunds; you want the people who purchased through you to tell others; really, you do not want to find out about a forum discouraging potential buyers from purchasing products you dedicated hours and hours of your time trying to promote them on your websites or blogs.
Of course, I am not suggesting that you will buy everything yourself and try it first, but there are few steps we all should take before promoting anything on the internet.
First of all check very thoroughly through the main website and what it offers; put yourself in the shoes of a consumer; would you consider buying it yourself and why? Why not?
It is also a very good idea to 'google' the product/service and the company and see what comes up. Are people happy with it or not?
The feedback you receive in this way could be priceless!
Another very important issue is loyalty. Everywhere they talk how to retain customers' loyalty. But what about sellers' loyalty? How do you expect others to be loyal to you if you are not really loyal to them? It is a two way street and if you are working towards establishing yourself anywhere, even on internet, your customers' service has to be better than your competitors! Whatever you offer it has to be worth the price they pay, it has to meet their expectations!
